Diverse Pathways

Welcome!
I'm Tara. I am an autistic counsellor and consultant supporting neuro-divergent adults, teens, and families of neuro-divergent children.
We can work on any issue of importance to you, including:
-
Trauma
-
Relationships
-
Gender, Identity and Sexuality
-
Chronic Pain & Disability
-
Pathological Demand Avoidance
-
Understanding Neuro-diversity (Autism, ADHD)
-
OCD & Anxiety Loops
-
Dissociation & Multiplicity
I work virtually from the unceded traditional territories of the W̱SÁNEĆ and lək̓ʷəŋən peoples.
Individual & Relationship Counselling
Many neuro-divergent people enter counselling with both current struggles and past pain and trauma, often after having spent years masking or minimizing their needs.
I am trained in:
-
Internal Family Systems
-
EMDR
-
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
These approaches support trauma healing and allow us to slow down, notice patterns, and support your nervous system together.
I work with folks individually and in multi-adult sessions (partners, parents, friends etc.) to better understanding the role of neurology. This includes in mixed-neuro-type relationships and families.
Our time together is an opportunity to create safety and connection within yourself and with the people in your life.
